friedriceSoooooo, my day started out as normal. Walked, half a sleep into the kitchen, began boiling water for coffee, chopped up some onion, jalapeños, habanero’s, mushrooms and a little bit of turkey sausage and began to sauté  them in a pan. Began drinking my first cup of coffee, onions and peppers looked to be perfectly caramelized. Went to the fridge and lifted out the carton of eggs, and was like “that is way to light”.

Opened up the carton and just starred at a single egg. So much for my 5 egg white omelette. What to do with this onion and pepper mixture that is on my stove?

Stumble back to the fridge and open it up and start rummaging through the contents for something to replace my typical meal. Nothing, nothing, nothing…..SCORE, a half cup of brown rice from two nights ago. SCORE, some left over pork tenderloin from the lunch prep of the week.

Pan is still hot from the onions and peppers, toss in the brown rice and fry it up. Chop the pork and throw it in. Scramble the egg and drizzle on top of everything. Grab some Asian 5 spice and sprinkle a little on top. Go back to the fridge and pull out the soy sauce and add a tablespoon to the mixture and stir it up.

Breakfast fried rice. Bad breakfast saved.

1/2 cup cold brown rice
1/2 an onion chopped
1 jalapeno chopped
1/2 habanero chopped
1 turkey sausage link
3oz pork loin
2 baby portobello mushrooms
sprinkle of 5 spice
1 tbs soy sauce
1 scrambled egg
